BONDING
Bonding's "claim to fame" is its etching technique, a process of preparing the natural teeth so that restorative materials will more easily adhere. This unique technique makes bonding useful for many types of corrections -from replacing old filings to whitening teeth.
Replacing old filings
A white filing is bonded to the tooth, replacing old, stained fillings
in front teeth.
Closing spaces
Bonding can be used to widen or lenghten teeth and to repair chips
and fractures.
Attaching restorations
Bonding is used to attach other restorations, such as porcelain veeners.
Whitening teeth
A white resin can be bonded to a tooth to mask a particulary stubborn.

PORCELAIN CROWN
Because full crown cover your entire tooth, they often provide a good solution for severe problems-a bad fracture, a large filling. As with other techniques, crowns can be correct a wide range of problems. They're durable and strong, so replacements are needed less often. Crowns may not give the best aesthetic results for people with serious bite or gum problem.
OTHER TREATMENT OPTIONS
Bleaching
This is an effective technique for some stains that can't be professionally cleaned off the surface of your teeth-stains in, not on your teeth. Your dentist applies a strong, yet harmless, chemical to the outside or inside surface of your teeth. You may require more than one treatment.

Reshaping
This is an easy, painless, cost-effective way to "file" or smooth rough edges on your teeth. Also called countouring, it can create rounder or sharper angles, depending on the desired effect. Reshaping can also smooth out tiny chips ot level off teeth with slightly uneven lenghts. Your dentist may use this along with other techniques.
Orthodontics
Your dentist may recommend orthodontics to straighten your teeth with braces, which can realign severely crowded or crooked teeth. Onenew type of braces has tooth-colored or transparent brackets; only the wire is visible. Invisible braces attach to the backs of teeth, and pull, rather than push, teeth into aligment.
